Daken: Welcome to You Are Your Name. This is Daken Ariel, your host. And I have a special guest, Don Maxwell who's going to discuss how he's used the Cyclic Law and the Cycle Chart in his career and give us some of his insights. So how long have you been using Cycle Charts, Don?
Don: Well, I've been very fortunate to be a Kabalarian student since I was a child. And so I must admit that when you're growing up, you're very young. People around you talk about cycles, and it's theoretical, because at a young age you don't see a relationship between something you think about, something you do, and then the results of certain actions. But I was fortunate, of course, that my parents, provided some guidance. And so I was introduced to cycles at a young age, and probably began to realize there was a connection between cycles and my own actions, when I was maybe 12, 13 years old.
Daken: So you've been using them for over 50 years anyways.
Don: Yes.
Daken: So how did you prove them to yourself?
Don: This aspect about, things being theoretical. At some point in your life, you have to realize that there is a principle at work, and it takes a certain maturity of mind to recognize this relationship between what you think, what you do, and an outcome. So I remember when I was about 15 years old, I was in a 1-cycle year. I was in grade nine in school. And I began to more consciously recognize a connection between things that I was doing, things that I wanted to do, with this cycle influence. So I recall very clearly thinking about what my future should be like. And so I set out three objectives that made sense to me at that young age. And it's interesting. I thought about them, I wrote them down. And then I set them aside and I went about my life.
And it was interesting to me a number of years later in looking back that each of those three things that I had set down in my 1-cycle for something that I felt was important for my future actually unfolded. ... And I've thought back on that many a time to realize this power behind making a decision in a strong cycle month or strong cycle year and having a clear thought, and then just going about your life, in a sense.
Daken: It's almost like you planted a seed. That was the ideal you wanted to accomplish.
Don: Yes.
Daken: Did you notice whether those things came to fruition in your fruition cycles?
Don: Well, it's too far back to remember that absolute connection. But, it was very clear, in hindsight, that what I had set down at an important time in the 1-cycle actually unfolded successfully.
Daken: So how did you use cycles in your career or in your personal life from that point?
Don: Well, I've been in the sales industry for most of my career. When you are setting your objectives to see your clients, I tried as much as I could to establish an important meeting on a positive cycle day. Where I could control it, I noticed that I had good good successes. Other times you're going about your business, it's routine, and so it just becomes a natural, habitual part of what you do. You think about your cycle day, and you are more aware.
In particular, say, an adverse cycle time, the end of a 3-cycle period, or, coming into the 4 year or the 4 month, the 4 influence of a day, I recognized the need to be more aware. And as, as a result, I've had a long experience with creating successes in my life around the use of the Cyclic Law and the principle of Cycles.
Daken: So when you get up in the morning, you would just review what your cycle is?
Don: Yes. We've always had Cycle Charts available to us as students, and so you read your Cycle Chart and say, "Okay, well, what am I going to do today?" And some things you plan ahead, some things you just are aware of a general condition. And so as you're going about your day, you're more aware. And so if you are in a what we call adverse period of time, or a testing time. You just do have to be aware. And there are times, I think, a person who has experience with cycles can look back and say, "Oh, you know what? I could've done a better job. I perhaps wasn't as aware as I should've been." And something that you wanted to do maybe didn't turn out as successfully as you wanted or hoped for. But by and large, if you are using the Cycle Charts, you have this understanding of how the quality of time changes.
And so you have an idea. If it's ordinary day-to-day routines, you go about doing your routine. But if you use it properly and you plan ahead, you look at the week ahead, maybe the month ahead. And you begin to see certain things that are important to plan. And you'll get a different result when you do plan it according to that cycle influence. And if you're aware of it, you're actually then, through the use of cycles, creating the pattern of your life. And you benefit from more successes than failures that way.
Daken: Right. Now, every cycle year has a cycle month that has a one undertone. Yes. Which basically means initiate action. Would you work with the 9-month pattern within the overall year to accomplish the minor goals of the year?
Don: Well, I think that becomes habitual after a while. You do that. You recognize from experience that cycles are a fundamental force influencing life through time. And so there's an intelligence to the pattern. So if you really have something important to do, you don't initiate that or start that in the equivalent of summer. You plant your garden in the spring. Why? Because the energy of the earth is ripe for things to grow. So, if you have important things to do, you want to give it the best possible opportunity for success. So yes, you think about that in advance, and you plan your life accordingly. And you create consciously the pattern of your activities. And you are projecting your mind outward to see what things need to be done at certain times in order to create the successes that you want and that you plan for.
Daken: Now, we've had physical Cycle Charts for about 75 years or so when Mr. Parker created them. With the new Cycle Chart app, have you had a chance to use that yet?
Don: I have been introduced to it, but I haven't used it. But I read my Cycle Chart still. I'm 76 years old. And it's on the bedside table. I get up in the morning and I'm thinking about that cycle. But I guess I have the advantage of having a lot of experience with it. And I know fundamentally that it's a significant benefit to know and understand it.
Daken: Any final comments you'd like to share?
Don: Really, people face challenges every day because they are going through life with a blindfold on. You don't really see what is coming. And so my advice for anyone who gets a Cycle Chart is to realize that your life could be so much better if you adjust the pattern of your thinking and your actions to coincide with the energies of life.
And every day we see the changing pattern from the 1st of January to the 31st of December. There's an unfolding pattern within time that is a powerful fundamental quality of change and growth. So you harmonize your efforts, you do things at the right time, you get a much better result.
And I just encourage anyone considering how to improve their life to take the Cycle Charts as a treasure. That it really is invaluable in crafting the kind of life and the successes that you wish and you hope for and you can make them a reality. It's a simple thing, but it has a broad base of understanding. And so learn to use the Cycle Charts and your life will be everything that you can conceive you can achieve.
Daken: Thank you, Don. I appreciate your time.
Don: You're welcome.
Daken: If you would like to learn more about the Cyclic Law you can download our free app which is called Cycle Chart on either the Android or Apple store. Setup a free account. You can create an account with your email address, your Gmail or your Apple account, or your cell phone number. Once you set it up, all you have to do is give it your month and date of birth and and it will configure your personal cycle information for a five month window; the current month, plus two months in the future and two months in the past. That should give you an opportunity to evaluate your cycles relative to the months, days, and years.
Until then, happy thoughts!
