Episode Summary:
In this Season 5 opening episode of "You Are Your Name," hosts Daken Ariel and Marlowe Shearing delve into the fascinating concept of the Law of Cycles and its tangible impact on our everyday lives. This episode describes the predictable, recurring patterns that can be observed in our thoughts and feelings which are explained by the Cyclic Law.
The podcast introduces an innovative mobile application called Cycle Chart, offering listeners the chance to test this Principle in real-time. By integrating cycles into daily planning, users can accelerate personal and professional development. Key terms such as cycle years, cycle months, and cycle days are discussed, offering a practical tool to maximize their progress in life by understanding their personal cycle.
Key Takeaways:
- Understanding the Law of Cycles: Cycles provide a framework to measure and understand the qualities of mind that are relative to our personal cycle.
- Cycle Chart app: A new tool that allows users to track their personal cycle years, cycle months, and cycle days to align their efforts with natural cyclic patterns to optimize our efforts.
- Cycles and Personal Growth: By understanding our personal cycles, we can use this knowledge to make consistent progress in accomplishing our life goals.
- Applied Use of the Cyclic Principle: Those engaged with business or personal development can benefit from planning and executing strategies aligned with their personal cycle.
Notable Quotes:
1. "The Law of Cycles basically is a predictable reoccurring pattern that you can observe...the qualities of your thinking."
2. "So the more you're aware of cycles, the more you can utilize them to create a more progressive and constructive life."
3. "That opportunity comes through your mind, through decision-making. But by adding the energy of the cyclic time, you're adding another dimension and another quality of perspective and intelligence to your everyday life."

Daken Ariel: Welcome to You Are Your Name. My name is Daken Ariel, and Marlowe Shearing is here as my cohost. Previously in the last four seasons, we've been covering how name influences our thinking, health, and experiences. In this season, we're going to focus on the Law of Cycles which influences our thinking on a daily basis.
So the first question is, "What is the Law of Cycles?" Basically, it's a predictable, reoccurring pattern that you can observe. So it's something that is real. But it's a little intangible because what you're observing are the qualities of your thinking.
Would you like to add anything to that Marlowe?
Marlowe Shearing: The Kabalarian Philosophy, as we have discussed in prior podcasts is based on a Principle of 1 to 9. And this 1 to 9 Principle are qualities of energy. And so we have demonstrated and discussed that 1 to 9 Principle expressing through mathematics relative to name and mind.
We're now discussing those energies of life that demonstrate growth expressing through time. And so each of us is born into time. We take a first breath and it's a measurable experience. That baby cries and away it goes, a part of life. And we are saying that that cyclic energy, a little one, a child is born into, different for each individual. They're born into a specific cycle. It could be a 4 year, it could be a 5 year. But that energy is now expressing in their life.
And so we look at seasons and we look at the tides and how the tides follow a cycle and they can be measured. People that use the cycles find them very accurate. So when the little one is born, they take their first breath and it's measurable by the month, day, and year and that determines that cycle of time that that child is born into.
The reason why we call it energy is because man should be evolving or growing to become the expression of something greater in his life. We want to progress through life. So the cycles illustrate the sequential pattern of growth that man can use with his mind to assist his development and the progress that he can create in his life.
Daken Ariel: So we all go through these 9-year cycles. You might be in a 1-cycle year or a 2-cycle year all the way right up to a 9-cycle year. And within that year, there are cycle months. So for instance, April in a 1 cycle year is a 7/8 cycle month. If you're in a 2 cycle year, April is an 8/1 month. So depending on what cycle you are (in), the qualities of April will be quite different. But everyone who's in the same cycle year will be experiencing very relative qualities in that particular month within that year.
And every day has a different cycle. Today is April 30th. If you're in a 1 cycle year which is a 7/8 month, you're in a 1/8 day. And again, each of those numbers is significant and it gives you an understanding of the qualities of both the intelligence of the cycle as well as the actions (one should take in that cyclic period).
How does a person relate all those three cycles together, Marlowe?
Marlowe Shearing: The cycle year illustrates, in a broad way, what should be accomplished. And then within that period of time, there is an energy of that quality. But within that year, there are months. So the months could be, "Look after the small details." And then "Put forth every effort in this month. Use this month wisely because the energy is stronger.” And so it just gives that shading.
And then in the cycle days it's again a finer shading. That there are cycles where you can express more easily. And so it's a good time for meetings. There's a time in the cycle where you need to withdraw because your expression isn't as free. And then you need to consider and contemplate, take a break and gather your energies for that next progressive time.
And so those daily cycles or hourly cycles can be used for setting up meetings or looking after and attending more specific goals.
So that quality of the year is like that big picture. And then within that year, there's months, days and hours. And then it's like a finer shading of the energies expressing in that time. But if you're in an, what we would call, a not as progressive cycle day, you have to look back that you are in a really beneficial year, really good year. So the time is still good. But now it has to be directed in a different avenue.
Daken Ariel: It's almost as if each of those cycle years, those nine cycle years, is a different floor of a building. And to get to the next floor, you have to go up the 12 months or the 12 steps. And each of those steps is part of a pattern to accomplish the objectives of that floor and get to the next floor in a progressive way.
Now, what does the 9-cycle year pattern look like?
So if you're in a 1-cycle year, that's the perfect time to start any major endeavor, any major goal.
If you're in a 2-cycle year, you further that goal, but you work through people because the two cycle is a time for dealing with people and working with people. It's a naturally diplomatic time.
In the 3-cycle year, you use the power of expression because that's a key characteristic of the 3 quality. And so you'll find that it's a seeding time, but you have to get everything complete by the 18th of July. That's your deadline. From the 18th of July to the end of the year, there's often a waning in the cycle. So you'll find that there's a disappointment.
And then the 4-cycle year is more of a test period where anything that you've started gets tested. And so if you'll find that in a 4 year things do crop up, then you have to fix them. That's basically what the cycle's for. It's repairing the problems.
In the 5-cycle year, it's basically a time where you can expand out, try new ideas, new things. It's a time where you can restart things. For instance, in a 1, 2, or 3 which is the key seeding, if you didn't know about cycles and you didn't start anything, you could actually start in a 5 cycle as well. It's not as good as the 1, 2, and 3, because the objective of the 9-year pattern is to bring your long-term goals to fruition by the 8 cycle. So if you start in the 5, you only have three years to really establish it. So that's the only downside of starting in the 5.
I started my business in my 5 and then continued on through and reseeded in the 1, 2, and 3 for the next cycle. So the 5 year is a very progressive time, lots of change, lots of irons in the fire. Sometimes that's the problem with the 5 year you want to do too much.
And when it gets to the 6 year, then you have to make some decisions. What's important to you? What can you complete properly? And so you'll find that the 6 year is a time of decision making. And often the expenses are high. But, by the end of the year things will be much (better) organized so that the fruition period, which is a 7, 8, and 9, will be optimized.
The 4, 5, and 6, we call that the testing and proving period. So the 1, 2, and 3 is the seeding. 4, 5, and 6 is the testing and proving, and the 7, 8, and 9 is the fruition.
In the 7-cycle year it's more indefinite the first half. By July onwards, it becomes much more positive and it's a little bit more introspective that year. You'll find that you're not as communicative. So you have to be careful of not being moody or not communicating properly with people. But from July onwards, it's very progressive. Things start to come into form, things that you've been working for long-term.
And your strongest cycle is the 8-cycle to bring things into materialization. And you'll find that if you have to sell, that's the best time. The 8-cycle year will be that time where you'll get the optimum return. So the 8 year you're working hard, but it's very profitable and very rewarding.
Of course you can reap the bitter with the sweet as the expression goes in that if you didn't seed properly in the 1, 2, and 3 and you didn't further it in the 5, 6, and 7, so what fruition could you have? You wouldn't have the full fruition as compared to someone who's consciously using the cycles.
In the 9 year, it's a planning year for the next cycle. So it's like the winter of the seasons. You shouldn't be starting anything new. It's a time for giving back to others. You'll find it's a very emotional year, and it's not a time to start a new relationship, generally speaking. Broaden your vision and to what you'd like to start for the next year. And then conserve your finances because you'll want to have something to invest in the 1 year to help you start your projects.
Within the years themselves, there's 12 months and each month is its own cycle. So you could be in a really positive cycle year, but the month could be a test month. So that's why it's important to have a Cycle Chart. You not only see the big patterns of the year, but within the months you have the actual understanding of that particular month, the quality of those months.
So there's broader cycles of the year. There's smaller cycles within the year, and then there's the cycle days within the month. So even within the month, you have 30 days and each is going to be a different cycle day and they'll have different qualities to them.
So you say, "Well why is this important?"
Well, this is how mind works. Mind is mathematical. Just as we discussed, name creates the mind through attaching language to you as an individual, your individual identity, so that creates a mathematical pattern. Your time of birth initiates a cycle, and that becomes a very critical part to how your life unfolds. So the more you're aware of cycles, the more you can actually utilize them and have a more progressive and constructive life.
Marlowe Shearing:The cycles are such an interesting and integral part of creating progress. Because if life is growth, then using that energy of time combined with our thinking, it adds a dimension and it adds a quality of Reason to our life.
Someone that works at the office was just saying that we have people that specifically buy Cycle Charts. And they buy those Cycle Charts because they use them consistently for business. But even without business, you use them for your growth and progress. And the information is so valuable to the flow of energy that is already a part of your life because taking that first breath was not a choice. It just involved us in life. But now with that knowledge of the Cyclic Principle, you'll find it very interesting to recognize these energies and why your thinking will change from year-to-year. It's that changing energy and those energies then can be used by your mind to grow perspective, to grow opportunity, to use in business, to use in your personal development, and to use for your spiritual growth. Because when we are born, we talked about name combinations. Someone might be a 49/4 (combination) and without more qualities expressing through their mind - the cycles give them a view into how the 7 responds to life, how the 8 responds to life. And it grows concept as well, which is a part of the evolution of life.
Daken Ariel: Would you like to add anything to why someone would want to use cycles on a daily basis?
Marlowe Shearing: Using cycles on a daily basis gives us a reason for the cycle and it gives us an additional confidence. And it's not a description of what you should do with your day. It's an illustration of how those energies can be directed through your mind for that day. And so people that just run on instinct or reaction to situations, they might get a telephone call that their son is going to be expelled from school. And then there's that huge reaction. Rather than using your mind to look at the logic and stand back, make the appointment on the appropriate day, take actions and create the intelligence of life so that your mind is in control, using all the energies of thinking and the energies of the cyclic time.
Life is going anyways, that's a common expression, but you want to use your mind and use the energies of time to take control and to use that time to your best advantage. Use your life to create the most that you can. And that opportunity comes through your mind, through decision-making, but by adding the energy of the cyclic time, you're adding another dimension and another quality of perspective and intelligence to your everyday life.
Daken Ariel: Thank you, Marlowe. That gives a broader picture to cycles.
Your question might be, "How do I test this Cyclic Principle?"
We've just recently converted our Cycle Charts to a smartphone app and you can actually download it for free. You just have to search for the term Cycle Chart, C-Y-C-L-E and the second word is CHART.
So when you install it, it'll ask you to set up a free account. If you have an Apple account, you can just use that to validate it. Or if you have a Gmail account, you can use that. Or you can use your phone number or an email account. If you use the phone number, we will send a validating text which you have to confirm. And the email address will send you an email to that address, so you confirm it there. If you choose Gmail or Apple, then it'll just log you right in.
So all of the Cycle Chart users start out with a free trial. It gives you the current month plus two months in the future plus two months in the past. And so you'll find that within that time period, you can look at your experiences day-to-day, look at the overall conditions of the month and see whether the Cycle Chart describes those conditions properly.
One of the bylines of the Kabalarian Philosophy is teaching the Principles of mental freedom. And so by understanding these Mathematical Principles of how mind expresses through language, how those qualities express through time, you can manage your mind so that you are mentally freer and actually have a much more happy and constructive life.
We'll see you next week. Until then, happy thoughts.
