INTERVIEWS:
Daken: Our guest today is Croft Rolind. He's been a student for many years and has had a balanced name for the same number of years. He had a successful career and then later on, when he was retired, volunteered as a name consultant. So he's very well-qualified to discuss balanced name and its benefits. Thank you, Croft, for joining us. I appreciate it.
Croft: You are quite welcome.
Daken: How long have you used a balanced name yourself, Croft?
Croft: I've used the balanced name for 65 years.
Daken: How did you find out about the Mathematical Principle?
Croft: I heard of the Philosophy through a friend and an acquaintance and at that time he gave me his books and I started to study it, and became very very interested in it. And then signed up for the course myself. That was 65 years ago. And of course, there's been a lot of advancement in the Philosophy.
Daken: They wouldn't have had a website back 65 years ago! That's a new thing. Tell me, was it a difficult process to change your name?
Croft: No, changing the name is not that difficult in North America, at least in Canada. There are laws in place that allow one to go ahead and make a name change. And you just go through the process that they explain to you and follow the rules, and it goes ahead very easily.
Daken: And what changes did you notice yourself when you did take on a balanced name?
Croft: I noticed by changing my name, changing my diet, applying what they told me in Philosophy at that time, I noticed my health was stronger. And I could see in the Philosophy we learned the deeper truths of life, and what is the reason for many things that are a mystery, you might say, in today's world. And you learn all these principles within the Philosophy.
But not only do you learn about them, we apply them. We use them. And you will find that in talking to Kabalarian students, they learn a lot just through the application of the Principles that are known and taught.
Daken: If you understood what a balance name is, but you didn't use it, then you're not going to get the benefit from it. So it's the same thing with health, the same thing with diet, and breathing, and and understanding of constructive thinking.
Croft: Yes, that's true. Yes.
Daken: What advice would you give to someone considering a balance name?
Croft: I would encourage them to study the course. We have study courses starting with Life Analysis Training, and then Healthy Living, and other courses. And by all means go ahead because you won't find this deeper concept of life through any other studies that we know of. I've seen people change their health and their life so drastically over the years that I've belonged to the Philosophy and talked to so many people.
You could say it's a lifesaver for many people to take on the Principles, to study them, and start to apply them. And you will see that there's so many principles that we apply. Just common sense really. It seems to be so obvious, and yet somehow we've we're governed a lot by the media and by the advice of people. People who prosper in different ways and that's unfortunate for us.
And so these are the things you will learn, the deeper concepts of what is going on in the world and why we're being influenced. It's sad the way it is. But we enjoy teaching people and we enjoy seeing people's lives change.
Daken: Is there any aspect that you'd like to share with the listeners at this point?
Croft: I would say that this is a Philosophy of application. You get the results if you apply what you learn. And there isn't any problem that a person might have that they can't, you might say, solve or conquer. And that's the wonderful thing about the Kabalarian Philosophy. It's practical. If you take the principles and apply them in your life, you will definitely get results. And I can guarantee that.
Daken: Good. Thank you for your thoughts, Croft. I appreciate it.
Croft: Okay. Thanks, Daken.
Daken: Our second guest is Josanne Roland, Croft's wife. Thank you for being a part, Josanne. How long have you used a balance name, Josanne?
Josanne: I've had the balance name for about 57 years.
Daken: And how did you find out about the Philosophy?
Josanne: Through friends, and they said I found something that's just something for you. And they took me to a lecture. There were lectures given at the playhouse in those days. What I really found that took me to the Philosophy is that it was so logical. It's just logic, and that's what really took me to the Kabalarian Philosophy.
Daken: So in terms of changing your name, what gave you the confidence to go ahead?
Josanne: I thought if I don't do it, how do I know it works? I had to prove it to myself. So I just had to change my name to see if it worked.
Daken: And what did you discover?
Josanne: My health improved and my friendships improved quite a bit. My whole life changed.
Daken: What aspect of the Philosophy have you used that you found valuable that you'd like to share with the listeners?
Josanne: There are so many aspects. But I really love the cycles. I often say take everything away, but please leave me the cycles! The cycles is like the rudder on your ship. And you just know when you're in a negative period in the cycles, you know it's not going to be forever. It's just for a month and then things will change again. I really like the cycles, yes.
Daken: How is understanding your inner potential through understanding your birthpath, how has that helped you see life differently?
Josanne: Finding out that there was a 9 birthpath, it was such a relief that I was normal. I was always thinking about other people and wanting to give and that. Others don't do that, and then I felt really so relieved being a 9, and there are very several nine-ish people in the philosophy, too, and we benefit from it now. It's it's so good to know. You're less selfish. You're more selfless, thinking of others and wanting to help others. Is it by computer sending an email here or there to some friends, or talking...
Daken: It's a very giving quality. You, I guess you would find that the balanced name allowed you to give more because you have that freer expression?
Josanne: Yes, absolutely. The balanced name, it's just more natural. There's not that confusion in your mind anymore. And also knowing that your mind is balanced, and working again with the cycles. I'll go back to the cycles. It's so important, yes.
Daken: Now you helped translate some of the course materials, and helped initiate the the Dutch center, I understand.
Josanne: Yes, there was another Dutch student and together we did a lot of translations into Dutch and started a Dutch group in Holland. And there's still students there.
Daken: Any final comments you'd like to make?
Josanne: Do change your name to a balanced name. It's so important. People have no idea. People give all kinds of names to their children and they have no idea what the letters, the power of all the letters in the alphabet, (do). And they want the best with the babies but they gave them a disastrous life. Do change the name. Look into the Philosophy and find out (about) balanced names.
Daken: Good advice. Thank you, Josanne. I appreciate your participating and I'm sure that if people took that one advice that the world would be a better place.
