You Are Your Name – Season 2 - Episode 1: Maxse Brytonn

Welcome to Season 2 of You Are Your Name. If you've listened to any of the episodes in Season 1, you'll recognize that the Kabalarian Philosophy teaches that names are a major factor in our thinking pattern, that they influence our health, and the names we use also are relative to the experiences that we attract using those names.

For instance, Peter is always going to be very independent and original and creative. But there's going to be a restriction in his life because of his self-centered perspective. So, some names are going to be more beneficial than others, and by a change of name to a balanced name, we can actually change our thinking pattern and therefore change our life.

For this season, we're going to talk to people who did that, and we'll learn from their insights and their understanding of how it's affected them.

INTERVIEW:

Daken: For this episode, we're speaking with Maxse Brytonn. Maxse changed his name 10 years ago. He's a landscape designer who runs his own business in Victoria, BC.
Maxse, you've been all over the world. You've worked in the gardens of Versailles, and you worked in Morocco designing gardens.  So thanks for joining us and appreciate your sharing some of your experiences with your name change.

Maxse: Thank you, Daken.

Daken: The first question I have about your Name Report is what helped you make the decision to take a balanced name? We have many people who order Name Reports, and then they don't go any further. What gave you the confidence to go ahead?

Maxse: There's different factors. I was sitting on the fence for quite a while, but as time went by and I experienced different dynamics in my relationships and work and saw that there was definite improvements, that convinced me to move forward as well as help coming from senior students and teachers who guided me through this whole process. So that's really how it was done for myself.

Daken: You got the Name Report. You found that it was accurate and you actually did order a balanced name recommendation, but it took you a while to actually legalize it and then use it consistently. That's basically what you're saying?

Maxse: Exactly. That's correct. It took probably a year and a half, two years before I went forward with the full legalization and change it on all documents.

Daken: So during that period, you were using the balanced name in some cases, but sometimes reverting back to your original name.

Maxse: That's right. Family members and friends kept calling me by the old name, but the newer relationships and clients I met called me by the new name, which created a different dynamic. And I could compare what was the evolution and where were the improvements.

Daken: That's interesting. I know when I heard about it, I was just starting a new job. So to test it, I went back to my legal name, which I had been going by a nickname most of my life. And I wanted to see if there was any changes. And after about six to eight weeks, I found that, "Yes, I can definitely see a difference in my thinking." So did you notice, once you legalized the balance name, did you notice your thinking change?

Maxse: I could see that at least I could tap into a potential that was untapped before which allowed me to change my thinking and see events through a different lens. That's really how I can describe it in a nutshell.

Yes, but it was quite fast as time went by. It seems that there were more events and more situations in which I could actually see that the truth was there and it was very valuable.

Daken: One of the common denominators for people who do change their name is actually they become freer from tension because the unbalanced name does create physical tensions and mental tensions. And they become happier. Would you say that you've used a balanced name legally for at least eight years? Is that something that you recognize?

Maxse: Definitely. I have always been, in the past, very goal-oriented and I was restless. I felt I always needed something to tackle, some kind of task, in order to make progress in different aspects of my life - especially in business. And I didn't really reap the rewards I was expecting.

But then with the balanced name, it seems that there was time for relaxation and you can pause and reflect without being emotional and just consistently reacting to different events that happen in your life. So yes, definitely. That's a good point.

Daken:  So the other aspect, you changed your children's names and they were fairly young. So how did that work out? Did you notice changes?

Maxse: Yes. In fact, restlessness was one of them. They were great children right from the start. I didn't really have any complaints, neither did my wife. But what happened was one of our children was a bit restless. He couldn't sleep through the night and was getting up really early in the morning, and needed a nap later.

Instantly after changing to a balanced name, like the day after the legalization, our son slept longer. He slept till 7:00 AM instead of 4:30 or 5:00 AM. We can still see their individuality at the same time. They're more objective in their thinking. They pause, and they're not so stuck in the reactions as they were before.

Daken: They're very intelligent children. I've met them and boy, they pick things up very quickly. So you're doing a great job as a parent. I think you're doing homeschooling as well.

Maxse: That's right. So that's that was one big step up we started that few years back. And I never thought we would get to that point, but somehow life goes on. You make choices and you look for the best interests and the best interests for your family. And so I could not imagine doing it without the balanced name. Some people do and they're great at it and that's it works for them. Although with both me and Katrine running our own businesses, homeschooling the children required that we really needed them to be somewhat autonomous and take it seriously. And the balanced names gave them an advantage at tackling tasks on their own, allowing us to coach them and see their full potential and tapping into it.

Daken: So that's another aspect of the balanced name is that it brings your birthpath out; it gives a better channel for your birthpath. So how did just understanding your inner potential through mathematics help you understand people and clients and your children?

Maxse:  The best gift I've received from the Philosophy and by changing my name is to see people as they are, without judgment. People try their best to go after their life and they just try to make the best out of it. Somehow, having a balanced name, I see that in others.

Daken: Good. Now you also balanced your company name. Did you notice a difference in using a balanced name for the company?

Maxse:  For sure. It attracts better projects, better relationships with clients. There's a whole different dynamic attached to it. We follow the cycles and we know when to go out for business and when to accept contracts and when to pause and when to take it somewhat slower time for vacation.

Say, late payments for different contracts from different clients - that rarely happens anymore when I compare it with other trades. This is something quite common in their workplace or in their business. The examples are numerous. And, as I said before, other people try their best to just be happy. They want to have a fulfilling life. Although, if you don't know the Philosophy, and I can say that from experience, you just keep trying and sometimes you're lucky and sometimes you're not. So, that's one way to put it.

Daken: Now, we haven't talked about the Cyclic Law very much in the podcasts, there may be one or two episodes in Season 1. But The Cyclic Law is the Mathematical Principle applied to time. And so we experience time mathematically as well.

So in a 1 cycle year, it's a good time to start. In a 2 cycle is a good year for dealing with people. The 3 is very expressive.. And so not only these cycles going through the years, they are also going through the cycle months and the cycle days.

So what you're saying is by using the cycles, you're much more effective in your business in using the intelligence of the cycle to promote at the time when you're naturally more in tune with promotion and when it's not as a promotional time to draw back and wait for the opportunities that the next positive cycle will give you.

Maxse:  Exactly. And I, what I can add to it is there's a saying in professional sports, being "in the zone" when everything falls into place, and you're moving forward and you can accomplish almost everything you dream of or you picture. This is how I can explain the cycles. It's just being "in the zone" and in tune with a certain cycle that helps you, and supports you, and give you power to manifest your ideals.

Daken: What advice would you give anyone who's considering balanced names right now?

Maxse:  I'd say believe in it and stick with it. It may seem like a whole new adventure and something quite complicated to do.  I was certainly facing resistance as I was doing it, my own resistance, and what others are going to believe or think, but that really does not matter in the end because what we're trying to achieve is personal fulfillment. And I'd say the best thing to do is to move forward with the process.

Daken: Good advice. I guess when you were in that process, being able to call the Name Consultants and get advice on a regular basis, just to help you answer the questions, because obviously many questions come up in that process. Would that be fair to say that talking to the Name Consultants helped you get over those hurdles?

Maxse:  For sure. A hundred percent. I was in touch with a Name Consultant at least once every two months or once a month at first. I just needed guidance and coaching to see all the different aspects that were changing and what was the potential I could exploit from that new name. And it has helped me greatly. It would be hard to imagine doing it without them.

Daken: One question I forgot to ask was relative to health. A lot of people find a health benefit in a balanced name. Did you notice any changes in your health relative to a balanced name?

Maxse:  I do. This is quite a common belief that people feel they have no power over their health. They blame genetics or different events in their life to put them in some circumstances and feel powerless.

But what I can say from my own upbringing and experience is the health challenges I've experienced as early as 2, 4, 5, 6 years old were related to that previous name I had. And since I changed the name, I'm not facing these issues anymore. Or at least I've got the tools and I know how to navigate through this. So that was another realization from getting to know the Philosophy and changing my name.

Daken: I appreciate your time, Maxse. I'm sure your insights will help people. So I thank you again. I better let you go back to your project there. You're actually calling me from your truck right onsite.

Maxse:  Thank you, Daken. It's been a pleasure. Anytime.
